Ancient Greek Translation Please :)

This is my friend's tattoo which is in Ancient greek (see picture attached). If someone could translate what it means to English, that would be phenomenal!!!

It's tricky even for a greek.

Means "soldiers", in Greek "στρατιώτες"

As you can Identify there is no similarity with the photo you've uploaded.
The man who painted this tatoo had obviously choose gothic fonts.
Ancient Greek in Gothic fonts..... HILLARIUS!

But since you asked it I gave it a try....
I can assure you that if I wanted to write in Latin Alphabet the word
"στρατιώτες" Ι would had written "stratiotes".
So you can open for yourself MS Word, find a gothic font that
"shows" letter "a" as "21", copy and paste the word stratiotes
and check if I gave the write answer.

And finally yes, στρατιώτες means soldiers.
