Another song I heard it today and thought I could make it out, but couldn't. What I really can give is that it's pop song with a moderate tempo, has some beat to it, a female singer with a medium low toned voice (not high pitched, maybe similar to singers like Bette Midler, KD Lang), and during the refrain/chorus (sung at least 3 times) there is one word that she holds for 3-4 seconds. Not only does she hold the word, but she goes slightly lower and higher note wise as she is singing. I think the word begins with the two letters ch. Like if it's child she can sing it like chiiiiii-ii--ii--ii--ii--ii--iild...... (the ii's are when she changes notes, mainly around the A, G, and F notes). This only happens in the refrain/chorus. Hope this makes sense. I also hope it plays again when I am working so I can get some more information/solve the song. Lastly, I heard the song at Pathmark. It would be great if the music came from a specific station that way I can look it up and find it.

Song may not be very popular, but it was enough to get played on the radio. Maybe one of those songs that can be on a top 50 list for a year and disappears a few years after it comes out, but is still played.

can you just sing or humm or whistle the song . because not everyone understands notes. Atleast I don't.

For now this is sort of how it went. I will see if I can record something else to song closer to the song.

    a'2 g'8 f'8 g'8 f'8 e'8 f'4 d'4

After that, I believe she says a phrase, and possibly the next verse starts.

Also, the song should have been from the 80's or 90's. For me, I would guess earlier than the later 90's and later than the earlier 80's.

As suggested by Th3Diplomat, I've decided to make an attempt of it when it comes to singing a litte. Hope it came out well.

Thanks a lot bugmenot, but that isn't it. In fact a co-worker of mine has an app on his phone that can identify songs once it starts to listen to them. I managed to pick up at least 20 random words in the song and recorded just under a minute of it. He had his phone listen and it was solved. Thanks Diplomat and to all.

Also the part that I tried to mimic was when she says second chaaaaaa-a-a-a-a-ance.
