Thumbs up Amarillis - Den Yparxeis Gia Mena

i counted all the moments we lived together
    you were in a few
i don't believe you when you tell me that you changed a lot
your coming back seems like a threat

you don't exist for me, we are now over
maybe you are the ash, but not the fire
only the body is here, heart is somewhere else

you don't exist for me, we are now over
love once left never comes back
only the body is here, heart is somewhere else

i had you like the beat of the heart
in my eyes you were like the light, my sea and sky
i spent nights of solitude even when we were together
why would i want a life like this?

there isnt any happiness or cheerfulness in any Greek songs. It has only gotten worse over the years. Years ago it was somewhat classy because singers needed to really have good voices. Nowadays it's just a bunch of nonsense. No other language has songs like this-all depression and heartbreak. No woman is ever happy in these songs.

    Thanks for your kind words.
I really appreciate every person, who generalizes while speaking for a nation's culture.

"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"
