Techno Song with Morpheus Monologue In It?
I know there are many techno songs that have some form of the matrix, but this song had a specific set of lines, did not have any other lines or lyrics, and was a clip of Morphus, not of someone else speaking the lines.
It has a pretty consistant beat. It does not sound like speedy-happy raver music, although it has a raver element to the song.
The lines include the following:
"Let me tell you why you're here.
You're here because you know something.
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it.
You've felt it your entire life (actual movie line omitted in this part)
You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
Do you know what I'm talking about?
(neo's response omitted in this part)
Do you want to know (MUSIC STOPS)
What...It Is?" (echos slightly)
Driving beat and techno music resumes.
It's only said once, and it's about half-way or more through the song. Nothing at the beginning or the end, just one part of the song. I don't think the song itself was too long, but I'm hazy on the actual length, unfortunately.
Please help me identify this song. I can't wait to be able to listen to it again. I've looked stuff up myself but it's really difficult when many songs are called "matrix remix" and dont include anything to do with the matrix, it's just the title of the remix.
Thank you!

Nope, that's not it either! lol. its more driving than that. maybe it was a special dj session on the radio or something. i recorded it onto a cassette tape when i was a kid, and I lost all of those tapes in a storage unit that my fam couldnt pay off. i thought it was on wunh radio for the uni of new hampshire maybe. but i dont remember if it was its own track or not. it was much too long ago.
its a driving beat, and then it stops and he says "do you want to know"
no music in the background at all --
"what" echoing
short pause
"it is" echoing
then driving beat almost like happy hardcore comes back in.
and in the initial monologue, like i said before, he skips some of what he says in the movie itself.
hope this helped a bit more.

It could just be my memory playing tricks, but aside from general hesitation, I'm 95% sure that is the song! Thank you very much gigi.
As a sidenote, did you make an account just to respond to my post? lol
Thank you.
If anyone knows of variations of DJ Bart's version of the monologue, or even perhaps ripoff versions, I would love to hear those, too. It's a super awesome take on it! :-)
*dances*
I never thought this post would be answered to successfully. You guys are so diligent!

Mario Lopez - Free Your Mind (DJ Taylor & Flow Mix)
I'm sure this is the song you are looking for....
I heard this song almost 12 years ago on our way to a night club in Jhb, and since then I was always searching for it.
Then last night I watched Matrix again, and it gave me the mood to search again, and this morning I got it.
Awesome song, that inspires me.
It's on youtube, go download it there.

What's the name of that song?
I have same problem, begins with Morpheus "free your mind" quote, in the link there's a little part I recorded while driving a car.
