Trying to locate a song with fragments of the lyrics.

Hi guys,

So, I heard fragments of a rock-ish (more like soft rock, really) song, but I haven't had any luck locating it through a google search, so I'm hoping you might be able to help.
The words I heard might be very inaccurate though, so this is just one last try to maybe find it...

Okay, first I heard a line that I swear sounded like
"'I'm the wolfcat" but because of the google search I'm now thinking, probably not... but it would sound like it.
the rest I (think) I caught was:
"when you close your eyes" and "does it burn"

Very VERY little to go on, I know... but just on the off-chance it rings a bell, you know?

Hi, male or female vocalist, and approx year would help.

I don't know the year, though. I just heard it on the radio today...
