Help with song from early 80's

I have part of a song on tape but not all of it recorded from the radio in about 1983.

These are the lyrics I have:

"A sword I wear and silver armor
On My horse
Your man am I
Your Champion
On My horse"

"I will return to win your hand
Give honour to your mother
Give honour to your father"

Then I think the first line of the chorus is

"I am your warrior"

I think the song is by someone called Richard but not 100% sure and I think the surname is something like "Munderford" or "Munford" but searching on google or youtube has not been successful.

The song has a little burst of trumpets like a fanfare between each verse.

Where did you record it? Was it in the US?
