Hey there
Well, I don't know how to explain it but I'll try to give you some examples:
Nominative:
Eu invat limba româna. - I am studying Romanian.
Tu esti din România. - You are from Romania.
El are o casa mare. - He has a big house.
Ea are o casa mare - She has a big house.
Noi nu intelegem gramatica româna. - We don't understand Romanian grammar.
Voi sunteti prietenii nostri. - You (plural) are our friends.
Ei sunt bogati. - They (for a group of males or males+females) are rich.
Ele sunt sarace. - They (group of females) are poor. -
Accusative:
Unstressed forms:
Ma iubesti. - You love me.
Te iubesc. - I love you.
Il vad. - I see him.
O vad. - I see her.
Ne intalnim - We meet each other.
Va cunoastem - We know you (plural).
Ii vad. - I see them (group of males or males+females).
Le vad. - I see them (group of females).
Stressed forms:
If you want to stress the pronoun, you have to use the unstressed form of the accusative pronoun (see above) plus the stressed one.
Do this to the sentences above and it'll look like this:
Ma iubesti doar pe mine. - You love only me.
Te iubesc doar pe tine. - I love only you.
Il vad pe el. - I see him (and not somebody else!).
O vad pe ea. - I see her.
Ne intalnim pe noi. - We meet each other.
Va cunoastem pe voi. - We know you (plural).
Ii vad pe ei. - I see them (group of males or males+females).
Le vad pe ele. - I see them (group of females). -
Dative:
Unstressed:
Imi dai banii tai? - Do you give me your money?
Iti aduc un cadou. - I 'm bringing you a present.
Ii dau ciocolata. - I give him the chocolate.
Ii dau ciocolata. - I give her the chocolate.
Ne cumperi o masina? - Do you buy us a car?
Va cumpar o masina. - I buy them a car.
Le aducem un suvenir. - We bring them a souvenir.
Stressed:
As in accusative case, you have to use both the stressed and the unstressed pronoun in the same sentence:
Imi dai mie banii tai? - Do you give your money to me?
Iti aduc tie un cadou. - I'm bringing you a present.
Ii dau lui ciocolata. - I give the chocolate to him (not to somebody else!).
Ii dau ei ciocolata. - I give the chocolate to her.
Ne cumperi noua o masina? -Do you buy us a car?
Va cumpar voua o masina. - I buy them a car.
Le aducem lor un suvenir. - We bring them a souvenir. -
@m.t: Enough for today
I'll try finding examples for the genitive case tomorrow
@all: Important note: I'm not a native (neither I speak Romanian that well), so if anybody wants to correct me, go ahead!!! -
Thank you, i think i start to understand the stressed and unstressed thing
