You idealize what destroys you
You let it consume you
Yet you pay no attention to
The fact it condemns you
The fact is it this all comes down
What will you do?
When your time is up
What will you say?
When your sin catches up
To you
You've romanticized
Every single sin
You've closed your eyes
And let the devil in
Now looking in those eyes
As they reopen
They're tired eyes
In need of redemption
I pleaded for you to seek
Redemption from the evil you speak
Yet you just stood and laughed
Now I must ask you...
Would you still be laughing in a pit of flames?
Would you be laughing in a pit of flames?
What will you do?
When your time is up
What will you say?
When your sin catches up
To you
You've romanticized
Every single sin
You've closed your eyes
And let the devil in
Now looking in those eyes
As they reopen
They're tired eyes
In need of redemption
Do you know what's at stake now?
Do you know what's at stake now?
I hope one day you'll wake up from delusion
I hope one day you will pray for redemption
I hope one day
I hope one day

Letter To A Lost Friend [Christian Song]
-
Although I like the lines you wrote,I still couldn't help myself from reciting it,rather than "singing" it.I judge a good song lyric by how easy it is to sing by merely reading the lyrics.I like this, but thought I felt more like a poem.
