One of my songs
So ive started writing lyrics recently and i don't no if im any good, this is one of my newest ones.
Tell me what you think
Its called Winter
Winter
I remember a time,
A time not so long ago
When leaves would fall
Leaving us old
We went through times,
When i wish you weren't mine
But we stayed strong,
We were never in the wrong
We had good times,
The times we spent laughing away
So think of these times,
Hoping that they stay
Though we fell out
Thought we cried
I’m glad to say
That you were mine
I don’t regret the things i did
Only the things i said
Though we can’t turn back time
We can only make amends
We had good times,
The times we spent laughing away
So think of these times,
Hoping that they stay
October had past,
But we made it last
We had cold nights in,
Pleased the sheets weren't thin

Nice song with a very strong last line: "Pleased the sheets weren't thin" I imagine the song to be played with a gospel waltz feel, like Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You".

Pretty good, I think. It holds together as one piece.
