Need to identify a song and band

Hi

I hope someone can help (probably a UK resident). I was watching BBC sports personality prog last night and heard some lyrics when there was an item about the golfer Darren Clarke. It's a song I have heard before relatively recently (ie this year) and the only bit I can remember is from last night; something like

light up, light up
even though you can't hear my voice
I am right beside you

or similar! I realise this is not a lot to go on, but it's such a sweet yet sad song and I really want to know the artist and title. I did think they sounded a bit like "the feeling" but i have searched their pages and cant find anything.
