Default Online vs in-person sex therapy: anyone have a preference?

I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on this. My partner and I are considering sex therapy, but we're debating whether to do it online or in person. On the one hand, the convenience of online sessions is really appealing – no travel time, we can do it from the comfort of our own home, etc. But on the other hand, I wonder if the in-person connection is important for something so intimate. Has anyone tried both and have a strong preference one way or the other? Any insights would be appreciated before we take the plunge!

It's a tough call! We initially opted for online therapy, thinking it would be less intimidating. And the convenience was definitely a plus. However, we found it difficult to really connect with the therapist through a screen. So, we switched to in-person sessions, and it made a world of difference. We felt a stronger sense of trust and were better able to read the therapist's cues and body language. If you are still unsure, then you could visit the website for more information. Ultimately, it depends on your preferences and what feels most comfortable for you as a couple.

What seems clear is that the rise of telehealth has expanded access to mental health services in incredible ways. For many people, online therapy is the only viable option, whether due to geographical limitations, financial constraints, or simply a preference for the format. However, this also raises some questions about the quality of care and the potential for a digital divide, where those with limited access to technology may be left behind. It really is a complex issue.
