Help me find identify this song ...

The guy who sings this song kinda speaks the lyrics. Sounds a bit like a Leonard Cohen song but I know it's not him. His voice is deep and I know there is a lyric like, "I said to her - If you like it now, you'll love it later.". I'm thinking that there is reference to the beach or you can hear the beach in the background.
