I've got a recording of a song and I don't know who sings it. It's a man, probably in a band. The song is kind of 'rocky', but sounds more like a ballad. The lyrics go a bit like this, except for the first sentence, which I can't figure out

It's possible that some of the words are not completely correct but it must be something like that.

Can anybody help me find the singer of the song (or the title).
