Here are the German Lyrics, now maybe someone is willing to try![]()
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Ich halte die Welt an
die Zeit steht still
Du bist das einzige was ich will

Ok, i did this myself, there are no difficult words in it. If someone spots 'Fehler', please do correct me
Here are the translation for 2 main lyrics:
Ich halte die Welt an
I hold the world on (or I stop the world)
die Zeit steht still
the time stands still
Du bist das einzige was ich will
you are the only thing i want
Ich fühl dein Haar, deine Hand, dein Gesicht
I feel your hair, your hand, your face
Es ist eine Seele die zu mir spricht.
It's a spirit (soul), that speaks to me
Du bist der Song der mich durchdringt
You are the song, that pulls me through,
der mein Herz zum rasen bringt
that speeds up my heart(beats)
Hast mein Leben auf den Kopf gestellt
you have turned my life upside down
Du hast den schönsten Arsch der Welt
you have the most beautiful a*s in the world
And here are the parts, that she repeats many times in song:
1. Du hast den schönsten Arsch der Welt
You have the most beautiful a*s in the world
2. Arsch der Welt
a*s in the world
Hi Lollipop,
there is not much to correct - actually nothing to correct !!!
maybe: Ich halte die Welt an I hold the world still
better: I STOP THE WORLD
maybe: Du bist das einzige was ich will you are the only one who i want
better: YOU ARE THE ONLY THING I WANT
But I am not really sure if "I stop the world" is good english.
Have a nice evening,
Tahira
Hi Tahira!
I have edited those two sentences with your corrections, and as i don't know either what would be the most good way to say "I stopped the world", then i leave both in there for now.
Hugs to you Tahira!
P.S. What a song...
So...even a world will stop for one mans a*s, haha!![]()
Here we go:
Dei dan da da dei dan da

Du bist der Song der mich durchdringt
You are the song that penetrates me (i.e., touches my heart)
der mein Herz zum rasen bringt
That makes my heart beat fast
Hast mein Leben auf den Kopf gestellt
You’ve turned my life upside down
Du hast den schönsten Arsch der Welt
You have the most beautiful **** of (in) the world.
Arsch der Welt
**** of the world*
Arsch der Welt etc. etc.
“
*Further annotation is necessary here. The phrase „Arsch der Welt“ introduces a little linguistic joke into this song.
“Am Arsch der Welt” is a German idiomatic expression that sounds actually much less vulgar than in English. This expression can mean two things:
1. “At the most distant place in the world”
2. “At the lousiest place in the world.”
So take your pick!
Ha ha ha.
Hochachtungsvoll,
Dimitri
hey dimitri =)
i don't think she's refering to "am arsch der welt" in this song. imho this song is only written for ONE purpose, i mean rhythm, video (24/7 Lyrics & Videos: Du Hast Den Schonsten Arsch Der Welt - Alex C. feat. Y-***)...![]()
Agreed with Luvya.
This song has no "deeper meanings", it is just euro pop song about a great looking a**![]()

No. Here I would suspect that the song has no 'deeper meanings' at all. I recognize that the alternate meaning may have no value for the song.
However the idiomatic expression (See TITLE) is well-attested, and must stand. As no one can read the mind of the lyricist, in any call for translation, a conscientious translator is wise to mention any alternate meanings that may arise. There are many songs that have lyrics that hinge upon words or phrases that are 'doppeltgemoppelt,' i.e., 'zweideutig.' Such as the Beatles, for example.

here you are the lyrics from the english version of the song:
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
I hear your voice when no-one’s around
I’m set in here when I’m loosing the ground
Feels like earth move under my fate
I feel your every single heart beat.
You are a lovely lovely refrain
You spin round and round in my brain
I seem a steel man till it’s some firm
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
You are a lovely lovely refrain
You spin round and round in my brain
I seem a steel man till it’s some firm
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
Dei dan da da dei dan da
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
You’ve got the sweetest as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
as* in the world
I'm not sure about "I seem a steel man till it’s some firm" because it doesn't make sense to me.

I stop the world is very good english, "I stop the world & time stands still" is very poetic. Besides which, the meaning still comes out with poor english. For example in the next post lollipop says 'most good' both are english words, not commonly associated and not 'good english' however they do mean what they mean even though the word 'best' would replace both nicely.
Just rambling here but oddly the english translation of the song they actually did, is very different. Including switching it to "sweetest ***** in the world"
=)
Theres no hidden meaning behind it. Here's a radio translation

Actually this innocent song HAS deeper meaning. It can be seen from 2 facts:
1. This song is mobilizing rhyme, and very powerful one. Minor note, it voiced by woman voice, so its target audience are men.
2. This song contains wordplay intranslatable to English language (by the way to any language whose all noun cases require prepositions). At the same time this wordplay translates to Russian just fine.
Sapienti sat.
I translated the German into English from this song. This is the overall meaning. As with most translations -- the song loses some of its lyrical value when translated to another language.
