I wrote this in about 10 minutes and I am looking to go back and add a second verse and change somethings around- the structure of some lines and things- just thought i'd get some feedback now to see what people think.
By Your Side
In this glistening twilight,
Lonely tears will fall,
Watchin' memories in your head
Or the shadows on the wall,
Time can be your enemy,
When you're all alone,
With no-one left to cry to,
Or no place to call home.
But Darlin' I'll always be here,
Standin' by you through it all
If you need someone to cry to,
Or to catch you when you fall.
CHORUS:
You can try to run,
You may try to hide,
From those that do love you,
But i'll be right there by your side.
Darlin' i'll always be here
Standin' by you through it all,
If you need someone to cry to,
Or to catch you when you fall,
CHORUS:
You can try to run,
You may try to hide,
From those that do love you,
But i'll be right there by your side.
go ahead and put your 2nd verse to this. i'm interested in see what you come up with. i like the structure of the chorus and the end of your 1st verse.
*Remember you can develop your songs anyway you like, however most verses have approx 16 bars of lyrical content. You may or may not want to increase your verses some, depending on what it is you are trying to say.
Great Job!......Keep it Movin....Keep Writing.....Stay True to What You Feel!!!
