Default HELP me find a wonderful hymn

About 15 years ago, I attended a memorial service on Martin Luther King day near Boston, and someone, with glorious choir, sang a magnificent song. ever since I have not been able to find it. It was a Gospel / spiritual - type song; it included these words: "I have overcome the world, and you don't have to worry." my web search has been unsuccessful. can anyone point me toward this amazing, inspiring, magnificent song?
    thanks so much
    Peter

I did not find a hymn with those lyrics.
There is a song called "I Have Overcome the World" by What's Up, Inc. (see attached links).

Default I Have Overcome the World

I'm pretty sure the song you are looking for was recorded by Joy Unlimited Mass Choir in Philadelphia, and was written by Carol Antrom.

    The lyrics begin:
    I have overcome the world
    You don't have to worry
If you can remember this when trouble comes
    You can conquer all
For I have overcome the world
    You don't have to worry
When the trials come, you meditate on this, that
    I have overcome the world
    You will overcome the world
    I have overcome the world

I used to have a cassette of this song, but lost it.
    Anyway, hope this helps!

    Default Me too!

    Hey, Peter

Now, I'm trying to track down the song too. I am teaching it to a choir to sing in a few weeks, so I taught it by memory but I would love to have the original recording. I have friends who sang in the choir that recorded it, so I have reached out to them to see if they have the cassette. Also, here is the link to the choir's contact page. Try reaching out to them.
I recorded our choir rehearsal with the choir singing it tonight. If you send me your email address, I can at least send you that recording of it.

    Happy detecting!!

    Hi, S - thanks
I sent an email to the choir, hoping to find a recording of the song; just sent it yesterday, so we'll see.
just as an aside, I completely remember standing in a Church in Massachusetts and hearing a man 'belt' this song so amazingly on martin luther king day, to this day, i moves me.

if you have something / a recording you can send me, it would be to this email address:
