Question Looking for obscure 1970s Waylon Jennings album song

Sometime during the 1970s in one of Waylon Jennings albums, there was a song whose lyrics dealt with a songwriter who had his song stolen by an unscrupulous agent (?). This apparently happened in Georgia (?), and the only part of the lyrics I can remember is that the singer/songwriter shoots this unscrupulous man once for every button on his vest.

Does anybody remember the name of the album, or better yet, the name of the song?

Thanks in advance for any help with finding this song.

The following link provides a list of every album and song (by year) that Waylon recorded.

The following songs are candidates for your song but I can only find complete lyrics for "As the billy world turns".

    Son of a scoundrel
    As the billy world turns
    Bad man
    Another man's fool
    What goes around
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title

    atmaster,

Thanks so much for your effort and hard work. I've literally checked every song from the link you posted, and I cannot find the song.

I'm beginning to question my memory and wonder now if it was even Waylon's song. I shouldn't second guess myself

    Thank you, again.

Well, my next wild guesses for the artist would be Kris Kristofferson and maybe Merle Haggard.
Attached are some links to lists of their songs and albums.
