Howdy folks!
I was just recently at a Loretta Lynn concert a week back and she sang a song that wasn't one of her originals. It was a song someone in the audience requested and Loretta and the band had a difficult time starting it up, as it had been years since they'd done it. She commented on how that wasn't even one of her songs, that Jim Ed Brown and Browns had done it. But she pulled it off wonderfully!
I believe the song to be "Tiptoe around the baby" or something of that nature. They lyrics go along the line of tip toeing around the baby so mama doesn't wake the baby. It's a classic country song I believe and I have had no luck in all my searches.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Solved: Loretta Lynn vs. Jim Ed Brown

Apparently Jim Ed Brown has written and/or covered every C&W song in the 1950's and 1960's. The attached link has the lyrics for all the songs he has recorded.

I browsed all the Jim Ed Brown Titles and nothing looked as though it would be it. I don't know...maybe Loretta Lynn mispoke when she said it was a Jim Ed Brown song. Are the Browns the same as Jim Ed Brown? Maybe that's where I need to start my search at. I appreciate you trying...maybe it'll turn up. Thanks

Solved: Loretta Lynn vs. Jim Ed Brown
Well, I afte a lot of digging and up to date info., the song in question has been identified as "Tippy Toeing." Originally done by the Harden Trio, Loretta put in on her "You Ain't Woman Enough" album. Not sure If I misheard Loretta at her concert, or if she just plain forgot, but I don't think Jim Ed Brown ever did it. I think she must have been referring to the Harden Trio. It helps to have the right information I guess when looking for a song.
Thanks for your help atmaster!
Complete Lyrics:
Well mama go a tippy, tippy toein' through the house
Gotta see what's the matter with the baby
It's been bawlin' and a-sqwallin' and a-kickin' on the wall
Well I guess it dropped it's little bottle maybe
Oh, daddy come a-runnin' with the water and a rag
Gonna need another little diaper maybe
No need a-hesitatin' or a-wonderin' and a-waitin'
I know what's the matter with the baby
No need a-hesitatin' or a-wonderin' and a-waitin'
We know whats the matter with the baby
Oh mama rock a baby, daddy rock a baby too
It's a-yawnin' and a-gettin' sleepy maybe
So mama keep a-rockin', daddy rock a little too
And at last its a sleepin' little baby
Well mama's tippy toein', daddy's tippy toein' too
Gonna try to do a little sleepin' maybe
Whether it'll be a minute or an hour or two
Is dependin' 'tirely on the baby
Well I hear the clock a-ringin', just a-dongin' and a-dingin'
Daddy go and make a little money maybe
Mama sleep a little longer but remember while I'm gone
Won't you please take care of the baby
After all he's just a little bitty baby
Oh mama rock a baby, daddy rock a baby too
It's a-yawnin' and a-gettin' sleepy maybe
So mama keep a-rockin', daddy rock a little too
And at last its a sleepin' little baby
And at last its a sleepin' little baby
And at last its a sleepin' little baby
And at last (fade) -
Thank you for letting us know, graybra!
