I remember having heard a song containing the following:
Diddeling dong bell, School is Over
Bells are chiming, it's so divine
That's all I can recall from the song. It's a woman singing and she sounds a bit like Connie Francis - though I don't think it's her. More probably a girl-group.
I guess that the song is from late 50's or early 60's.
Hope someone here can help me.

Ding dong bell - School is over
-
I think that's from "School is Over" sang by Billie Davis in the 1960's.
Actually I've never heard the english version of this song, but those lyrics are really similar to the french ones.
The title of the french version is "L'ecole est finie" and the song goes like:
Donne moi ta main et prend la mienne
La cloche a sonné, ça signifie
La rue est à nous que la joie vienne
Mas oui, mais oui, l'école est finie
(here's a brief translation:
give me your hand and i give you mine
the bell have chimed, which means (that)
the streets are ours, let happiness come
oh yes oh yes school is over)
It's a famous song sang by Sheila, a french singer of the 1950's and 60's.
Hope it will help
