I’m just an awkward fool
I loose my page
I get lost in crowds
I get uneasy when I can’t see the sky
Don’t take me
Too seriously
I’m an awkward fool
I sing in the shower
I dance on my own
I’ll make time to spend doing nothing
Don’t take me
Too seriously
I’m an awkward fool
I forget where I parked
I enjoy Hollywood movies
I stumble on my words the only time it really matters
Don’t take me
Too seriously
First impressions last
Too long for my liking
Do you like sight seeing
for personality?
Don’t take me
Too seriously
Thoughts??

Another lyric... Awkward Fool
-
Unique and I like it.
To me, the poem is an unapologetic description of the subject but it doesn't demonstrate any actions that warrant describing the subject as a "fool". I like the word "soul" (but it's not my poem)...
P.S. loose --> loseThem that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title -
I like your reading of it. Always enjoy hearing peoples reactions. The song for me was about being judged before people actually got to know me. Then, in this section:
First impressions last
Too long for my liking
Do you like sight seeing
for personality?
Don’t take me
Too seriously
It asks, do you judge books by their covers? Then the refrain line answers in a subtle way: If you judge people on first impressions, you're a moron.
Cheers for that. No good with spelling. -
BTW, thanks heaps for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

I really feel like an awkward fool sometimes... well, all the time! Like if I take a wrong turning I feel I can't just turn around and walk back, people'd think i'm going crazy, so I have to walk in the wrong direction for ages until nobody's there and turn round!

Thats brilliant! I do this nearly every day. The thing is though, I bring it on myself by doing something stupid, like forgetting I have alecture and walking half way across campus and then have to turn around.
Its worse when it can helped. I'm just an awkward fool...
