I recently started listening to One Flew South's album, The Last of the Good Guys. At first I was skeptical of them but it's actually pretty good. It seems like there is a lot of buzz surrounding them, which too often happens with unworthy bands. Not in this case though, this is a talented band that looks like it is going to have a whole lot of success. If you haven't heard them I would definitely recommend checking them out. The following is a link to the video of their most recent single, "My Kind of Beautiful".
First, to explain my musical tastes and orientation: I'm not a great fan of contemporary CM ... I prefer the old George Strait, George Jones/Tammy Wynette, Nelson/Jennings ... Steve Earl ... Haggard-style St Louis blues, Texas Swing, an occasional Crosby, Stills and Nash, a mix of styles and such.
I really like this song. I agree, this band could go places. They seem to have a touch of classic style, with kind of a laid-back bluesy feel. To me, that can always make a song.
So: thanks for sharing! I'll keep an eye on these guys
