This has been bugging me for years...

Every once in a while, I hear this song and I have no idea what it is, and it really bothers me. This has been going on for a decade.

It's a female singer playing an up-tempo acoustic guitar. The song lyrics are minimal in the verses. Then the chorus starts with the phrase "It's the..." I think the ending of the song has the singer repeating the word "everything" until the end.

The song sounds like it's from the late eighties or early nineties. The singer sounds like Edie Brickell, but I don't think it's her. It must have been a somewhat popular song because I do hear it from time to time, but I can never understand the lyrics to look up the song.

Maybe this will help. The singer on this song kind of sounds like Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, but I don't think it's her.
