2 songs needed to be identified.

I recently heard two songs both in stores (not the same store) but when I requested through an e-mail a playlist of songs that the stores play, they told me they could not give me such information.

The first song is sung by a guy and the lyrics that I caught were:

"There's a beautiful world [waiting?] outside your door...you always forget?"

I know it's not Beautiful Day by U2. The genre of the song would be like pop rock I guess.

The second song I heard today was very upbeat, with a guy singing.
The lyrics I remember (from the chorus) are something along the lines of :

"I wanna wanna know
(and then a line)
I don't don't wanna know"

or something. Ugh, I'm having a total brain cramp, hopefully the lyrics from the second song will come back to me.

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
