I know it exists! It came out in the 90's. Maybe like a one hit wonder deal, but then again, I dont know the band so....

The lyrics I remember are:

Part of the chorus is something like
"Can't say where she'll be in an hour. Maybe she'll be sleeping in the shower."

The song is called "So It Goes" by Wes Cunningham. So funny, this song came out over 10 years ago, and it just popped into my head today. I remember they use to play it on the radio ALL THE TIME! I put you're fragmented memories and mine together, and found the song!
