    Many thanks for your suggestion, however sadly the title is not 'dont close your eyes' it is just a line in the song I am looking for.. but it was worth a try.. thanks very much for trying to help..

    The song I am looking for was sung by a male, or male group, and came out last Novermber 2007, but is stilled played on the radio from time to time..

    I am looking for a song and singer(she is african American)..tells a story about a husband who left her with children...its a sad story.... now have a few more words..:
