    Talking Marţişor

Buna Ziua! I'm trying to learn Romanian, and the lyric translations help very much! However, I have a question about a the Romanian tradition Marţişor and didn't know where else I could get an answer I know that it's the first of March and little trinkets on white and red string are given. I would like very much to know more, mainly on whether it is appropriate for a woman to give one to a man etc. I'd also like to know anything else about it that you can tell me I'm sorry not to be able to post this in Romanian, but I will keep learning! ^.^ Eu încerc! Mulţumesc pentru ajutor tau!

To answer one of your questions, no, it is not appropriate for a woman to give one to a man. It's the other way around. Only women receive "martisoare" from men. Lately men also give little gifts and flowers along with the trinkets.

And another thing: the white and red string must be worn as a bracelet and be tied on a branch of the first blossomed tree you see. I don't know if that's actually the tradition, but that's how we used to do when we ere ...younger

Mulţumesc foarte mult pentru informaţii! Acel este o tradiţie dulce Also, on March 1st, do people give greetings such "Marţişor Fericit"? Sorry if these seem like silly questions, but I cannot learn them without asking I plan to go to Romania as soon as I can afford to, and I'd rather seem silly in text than in person Also, feel free to correct any sentences that I say in Romanian...I am teaching myself and am always Very appreciative of any help that I can get

Yes, I agree with zahra, haven't heard that expression either, but i heard the next one :
"Un 1 Martie fericit" - A happy 1st of March

You can use this if you wish !

Prostii...
