Solved: song with girls' names

I am looking for (I think) quite an old song (70s?), sung by a guy, sorta mellow pop. As far as I remember he was singing about the girl that he might meet (and marry?) in the future, and listing all the names that she might be called.I can't recall which names there were anymore, so the following are just to give an example of what it was like. I think this part was the chorus but I can't be quite certain.
Pamela, Melanie, Annabelle, Nathalie, Angela, Erica too
(all the names would then be sung the same way, in 3 rising tones. the way the rhythm and melody goes I have the feeling that they were all 3-syllable names, but I may be wrong)
Does anyone have a clue what this song is? Thanks!

(btw, in my google search, Lou Bega's Mambo No. 5 came up a lot, but that is definitely not it - it is a very different style of song.)
