Game - Arabic Story

I was thinking about a game like this, since last week and i decided to open a new thread, where we can make sentences and create a story!

Please use fus7a for writing the sentences. Translation of the sentence + transliteration required, too! Each person should write one whole sentence, maximum 2!

P.S Any native speaker is free to correct our sentences and of course to participate in our game!

For any questions related to Arabic, please post in Learning Arabic thread and not here!

I'll start:

ذهبت امس إلى سوق و إشتريت الفواكه
Dhahabt ams ila-s-souq wa ishtarayt al-fawakih.
I went yesterday to the market and bought fruits.

Here we go :

ولكني ما كنت لي الفلوس لأدفع البائع
Walakinny ma kountou-ly-l-flous(a ?) li2dfa3-l-bay23
But I did not have money to pay the seller

Hi Layla,

Another suggestion : let's create an arabic song. Everyone will write a line. 4 lines will form a verse. Verse 3 has to rhyme to #1 , verse 4 has to rhyme to #2. The first fourth verses will be the refrain/chorus.

It's really a great idea and beautiful game as well

with same translation and trasliterantion (you transliterated right)

ولكني ما كنت أحمل الفلوس لأدفع للبائع
or
ولكن لم يكن معي فلوس لادفع للبائع lil-ba2e3
(I prefer the first one)

At end:I prefer using نقود/ النقود than فلوس/ الفلوس

1. What I wrote is you English thoughts. i.e. the translation of your English sentence
2. Should I transliterate as well

Layla: ذهبت امس إلى السوق و إشتريت الفواكه
gbasfora: ولكني ما كنت أحمل الفلوس لأدفع للبائع
Layla: ألبائع قال لي : ثم, أليوم عليك تبقى هنا معي و تبيع الفواكه

Al-ba23 qal li: Thumma, al-yawm 3aleik tebqy huna ma3y wa tabi3 al-fawakih!
The seller told me: Then, you have to stay here with me today and sell fruits!

P.S @ gbasfora: Nice idea, but first let's stick to the story and see how it goes, because it's easier. Ok? We don't have to make any rhymes here! And we can do the song/songs a little later!

فقلتُ لهُ : حرام عليّ أنا أُمٌّ فقيرةٌ و أولادي جعانين في الدار في إنتظاري
Faqulto laho : 7aram 3alayy ana ummoun faqeeratoun wa awlady ja3aneenoun fiy-l-darou fyi entezary
So I've told him : poor me ! I am a pauper mother and my hungry sons are home wanting for me

Your sentence is correct, but it should be rearranged to be perfect.
فقال لي البائع: إذا، عليك أن تبقى اليوم هنا وتبيع الفواكه معي
I added فـ which means here so

and the plural for جائع is جياع
home is منزل
Last not least: it is بانتظاري and not في إنتظاري
Your sentence will be:
فقلت له: يا ويلي! أنا ام فقيرة وأولادي جوعى في المنزل بانتظاري

I discovered that I did a terrible mistake for the plural of جائع after checking my dictionay...
so the right thing
هو جائع و جَـوْعان howa ja2i3 wa jaw3an
وهي جائعة و جَـوعى hya ja2i3a wa jaw3a
والجمع جـِياع وجُــوَّع al jam3 jyia3 wa jow-wa3
(wa here means or (this) or (this))
Please do magnify the font on word so the signs التشكيل are clearer for you...

great idea,but i guess the story ended ina funny way with gbasfora

الأمس رجعت من الجامعة فوجدت اخي يبكي

yesterday i came back home so i found my brother crying

سألته لماذا تبكي؟ - I asked him why do you cry?

(hope it is right lol)

فقال لي ان امي ضربته

so he told me that mom beated him

فقلت له : لابد أنك قمت بشيء أزعجها ؟
Fa 9olto laho : labudda anaka 9omta bi shay2in az3ajaha ?

So I told him :" You must have done something bothered her ?"

لا لم افعل شيئا حتى اذهبي و اسأليها
la lam af3al shay2an,7atta edh'habi was'aliha
no i have'nt fone anything ,you can even go and ask her

Ok I will go and ask her - حسنا سأذهب وأسألها
7sanan sa athhab wa2as2laha
