turn around, bright eyes

Hi! I've got a tricky one (I think). I am trying to find this song, but the only lyrics I have picked up on and remembered are "Turn around, bright eyes". Of course in my google search that gave me a whole lot of Total Eclipse of the Heart, but that is not the right song. The one I am searching for is sung by a guy, with a fairly high voice though, and it has nothing of the drama of "Eclipse", but instead has a faster pace and a more cheerful sound. I believe that the phrase Turn around, bright eyes is sung twice in a row, with something that sounds like ukulele strumming in between. Can anyone help me? Thanks so much!

I know that Conor Oberst calls himself Bright Eyes as well, but I can't find any song of his with that title. I've been listening to some of his stuff hoping to find my song but with no luck. Overall, I also think that he sounds a bit more serious and heavy than the song that I heard. But thank you for the effort! And if he does have a song called Bright Eyes that I have not been able to find, and that you do know, could you possibly send me a link to it?

How old is the song.....When , where did you hear it.....Where are you from.

It doesn't sound like a particularly old song, probably newish or at least this decade. I heard it at the department store in Amsterdam (Netherlands) where I work, just last week or so and then this week again (yes, maybe I should go figure out who is in charge of the music they play and ask them). They play newish stuff like Leona Lewis /Jason Mraz/Sara Bareilles a lot so it is likely that everything on that playlist is from the last 2 or 3 years or so. Problem is, the memory is fading, and all I remember now is this turn around, bright eyes bit. But I will keep my ears open, and hope it comes on again.

I think Jason Mraz has a song called Bright Eyes....

Your suggestion made me really hopeful, because in terms of style it could have been Jason Mraz, but unfortunately, this is not it either. The song I heard was more playful than this one. Thanks for thinking with me though! I am back at work wednesday and will see then if someone there can tell me more.

Yeah Conner Oberst was a bum steer...

I did find a cover of the Simon and Garfunkel song, "Bright Eyes" by Declan Galbraith.
He has a high voice but the phrase "turn around" is not in the lyrics and the pace is slow.

Well, asking at the store didn't help either. Apparently all the store music comes in via satellite and no one at the store has any say or control over it... I haven't heard it again either. It did make me think of the Jason Mraz/Jack Johnson type singer, just maybe a bit more quirky/indie, but basically a guy with a guitar singing rather laidback songs. Maybe someone knows some more artists of that type whose songs I can listen to in the hopes of finding my song?

Thanks for trying, but no, not it either. 'My' song is more upbeat than this one, and apart from the 'bright eyes' part, I think the singer's voice wasn't that high.
