I'm looking for a song that contains the lyrics:
"There is too much money in one part of the world
And not enough in another"
This may not be the exact wording, but it can't be far off.
I think these lines were the start of the chorus.
It is sung by a man, and the style is something like (acousticky) pop or maybe mild rock.
I think the song is probably from the last 3 years or so.
Can anyone help me find the artist and title?

Thanks for your suggestion, but that's not it. The "too much - not enough" contrasting part of the lyrics I am sure of, but the "one part of the world" might also be "in one place" or "in one half of the world", and "in another" might also be "somewhere else" or something to that effect.

I am still not finding a good match for your lyrics. Try the following songs:

Thanks for your continued help! Unfortunately, still not there. I know the Genesis song pretty well so that's definitely not it (and the Disturbed version is also in a much louder rock style than my song was). I think the Moody Blues one is somewhat similar in its ideas/content, but the song I heard didn't have quite such a heavy feel to it and had a faster pace. I find the genre hard to describe (and to remember too, probably for that same reason), but I suppose you could call it middle of the road/adult contemporary (also nice nondescript terms).
