    Smile Old Scottish Song

I am looking for the lyrics to an old Scottish song or it may be British. My grandfather who was born in Inverness Scotland in the late 1800 would sing this song, but all I remember are these words "IF I WERE TO PLANT A TINY SEED OF LOVE IN THE GARDEN OF YOUR HEART" Does anyone know this song? I would love to be able to sing it to my loved ones. Thanks

I found several references to the song and the names of some artists who have recorded their version.

"If I Should Plant a Tiny Seed of Love (in the garden of your heart)" by Tate Macdonald (1909 - EMI Songs)

Hellen Clare (her version was broadcast on the BBC in 1937 on a show called "Palace Of Varieties")

Dorel Teschemacher record a song called "The Garden of Your Heart" in 1914

If I could plant a tiny seed of love in the garden of your heart.
Would it grow to be a great big love some day,
or would it die and fade away?
Would you care for it and tend it every day,
till the time when we should part?
If I could plant a tiny seed of love in the garden of your heart.
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title
