Howdy!
I ran across this song awile ago on a youtube music video (for the song.)
I watched the video every so often but I forgot what it was called, or how I accidentally found it. The video looks amateurish, like it was recorded with a video camera and not film.
The video itself was kind of odd in that it starts with a guy and girl looking around an art exhibit/museum. They banter briefly and then it cuts away to some sort of caged animal and the music starts. At the end of the music video, it cuts back to the two at the exhibit, and the girl makes a remark about an painting something like "Ohh look at you!" the guy responds with "Oh, paul" and the video ends.
The song itself has kind of a techno vibe.
The singer is a woman who sings in a melancholy voice.
I recall fragments of the lyrics, such as
"...gave me your shoulder..."
"...twice last year..."
The main chourus of the song (likely the latter half) has the singer chanting
"I said hey, heeey, I said hey, heey..."
Any idea what song I'm rambling about?
Thanks!
