    Hello,

This is just my second effort to translate from Italian, this time without an English prototype, so there are likely quite a few errors. I have only one dictionary for Italian and ancient Latin is not always of help... To tell the truth, some things sound peculiar, I guess it’s the inter-cultural gap... Probably sounds really nice to Italians, personally I liked the very first time I heard it, today that would be. Any correction is more than welcome...

    Se Non Ami-Αν δεν αγαπάς

Puoi decidere le strade che farai
Μπορείς να αποφασίσεις τους δρόμους που θ’ ακολουθήσεις
puoi scalare le montagne oltre i limiti che hai
Μπορείς να ανέβεις στα βουνά πέρα από τα όρια που έχεις
potrai essere qualcuno se ti va
Μπορείς να είσαι οποιοσδήποτε αν το θέλεις
    ma se non ami
    Αλλ’ αν δεν αγαπάς
    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
non hai un vero motivo per vivere
Δεν έχεις μια αληθινή αιτία να ζεις
    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
non ti ami e non ci sei
Δεν αγαπάς (ούτε) εσένα και δεν υπάρχεις

    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
non ha senso tutto quello che fai
δεν έχουν νόημα όλα όσα κάνεις
puoi creare un grande impero intorno a te
Μπορείς να χτίσεις μια μεγάλη αυτοκρατορία γύρω από σένα
costruire grattaceli e contare un po' di più
Να φτιάξεις ουρανοξύστες και να μετρήσεις για λίγο περισσότερο
puoi comprare tutto quello che vuoi tu
Μπορείς να αγοράσεις όλα όσα θές
    ma se non ami
    Αλλ’ αν δεν αγαπάς
    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
non hai un vero motivo per vivere
Δεν έχεις αληθινή αιτία να ζεις
    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
non ti ami e non ci sei
Δεν αγαπάς (ούτε) εσένα και δεν υπάρχεις

    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
non hai il senso delle cose più piccole
Δεν έχεις την αίσθηση των μικρών πραγμάτων
le certezze che non trovi e che non dai
οι σιγουριές που δεν βρίσκεις και που δεν δίνεις

l amore attende e non è invadente e non grida mai
Η αγάπη προσμένει και δεν εισβάλλει και δεν ουρλιάζει ποτέ
se parli ti ascolta tutto sopporta crede in quel che fai
Αν μιλήσεις (η αγάπη) θα σ’ ακούσει, θα στηρίξει και θα πιστέψει σ’ όλα όσα κάνεις
e chiede di esser libero alle porte
και ζητά να είναι ελεύθερη να φύγει
e quando torna indietro ti darà di più
και περισσότερα σαν θα γυρίσει θα σου δώσει

    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
    se non ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
tutto il resto sa proprio di inutile
Όλα τα άλλα είναι στ’ αλήθεια άχρηστα
    se non ami
    Αλλ’ αν δεν αγαπάς
    non ti ami
    Αν δεν αγαπάς
    non ci sei...
    Δεν υπάρχεις
senza amore noi non siamo niente mai...
Χωρίς αγάπη, εμείς ποτέ δεν είμαστε κανείς

"non hai un vero motivo per vivere
Δεν έχεις αληθινή αιτία να ζεις"

i would translate this as a motive - κίνητρο-
for the rest, its pretty fine! the song speaks for itself.

    cheers

    Θά γυρίσει αλλού τίς χαρακιές

Μιά στιγμή θά συγκατατεθεί ο Καιρός

If I could pass to you an information... in this case the Italian word "motivo" has to be interpretated as "cause","reason" and not "motion"... I don't know the correspondent words in Greek, but I have thought that could be useful if I write this information to you in case you are undecided about what word is to be used in the translation
