I know this maybe a stupid Question, but Guys/Girls I need your help...

My ex just send me this song, I'm not 100% sure on what he means when he told me to listen to it.
Anybody knows the real meaning of this song?

Well the song is about a guy that's still in love with his ex.
He's can't stop thinking about her, but he tried to do that by dating all the other girls.
But it's not working... he wishes he could have her back, but she's now with someone else...
