Default Looking for a fun spanish song!!!

Hi. I am from India. I have been asked to host a party at my office, where the theme is mexican. Among other things, I want to make the crowd sing a mexican/spanish song. Can anybody recommend a simple song for this purpose? It should be easy to sing and should have a simple meaning and should be short. It should not have love/girls or something like that for a theme. I am looking for some fun song.

I will appreciate if you can recommend such a song and let me know how I can get its mp3, lyrics and translation into english.

    Hi! My suggestions:

    La cucaracha (mexican)

    El mariachi loco (mexican)

    La Macarena (spanish)

    La pelusa (mexican)

    El meneaito (panaman)

    El baile del perrito (dominican)

    No bailes de caballito(mexican)

They are long, but you could use only part of them for your party we normally just sing and dance to the chorus

I can help concerning the lyrics and translation, you just choose which one you like most. The lyrics are mainly about dancing, moving and having fun.

    Dear Citlalli,
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I think I would like to choose between Mariachi Miguel Dias - La Cucaracha and Ketchup Song(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFzyY...eature=related).

Can you please share the lyrics, english translation and the mp3 for these two songs? If you can get only the instrumental for these two songs, that will be of great help too.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi again!

I can't see the link of youtube you posted because it's blocked here

Anyway, here are the lyrics and translation of La Cucaracha:

    CHORUS
    La cucaracha, la cucaracha
    The cockroach, the cockroach
    Ya no puede caminar
    can’t walk anymore
Porque no tiene, porque le falta
coz she doesn’t have, coz she needs
    Marihuana que fumar (2x)
    marijuana to smoke

    Una cucaracha pinta
    A multicoloured cockroach
    Le dijo a la colorada
    told a red (cockroach)
    Vámonos para Chihuahua
    let’s go to Chihuahua
    A pasar la temporada (2x)
    to spend this season

    CHORUS (2x)

    De las barbas de Carranza*
    Out of Carranza’s beard
    Voy a hacer una toquilla
I’m going to make a shawl
    Pa’ ponérsela al sombrero
to wrap it on the sombrero
    Del señor Francisco Villa* (2x)
    of Mr. Francisco Villa
*Names of important characters during the Mexican Revolution

    CHORUS (2x)

    El centavo toca y toca
    ”Centavo*” plays and plays
    Toca y toca su acordeón
    plays and plays his accordion
    Y enojado se quejaba
    and he moaned upset
Porque le quité un tostón (2x)
coz I took 50 cents from him
*Nickname of somebody’s; it means “cent” or “penny”.

    CHORUS (2x)

    Ya murió la cucaracha
    The cockroach has died
    Ya la llevan a enterrar
she’s being taken to be buried
    Entre cuatro zopilotes
    by four vultures
Y un ratón de sacristán (2x)
    and a mouse as sacristan

    CHORUS (2x)
