Verse
You will never know
Which way to go
Cross streets
and broken signs
Newly paved roads
and Winding rides
You can take a detour
Or you can take a short cut, but
You'll still end up in the same place
Stuck in the same rut.
Chorus
Run, as fast as you can
Hearts like bombs in the palm of our hands
Ready to explode, Just depends on the roads
we choose to take on our own.
and if these bombs were to explode
Ignore the smoke and follow the roads.
Is the fight inside you squirming?
Is the air in your lungs burning?
Verse
With hearts and hands we'll make a plan
To run away with arms and minds open
With the dream that maybe i still can
Letting go whats lost but still hoping.
Bridge
Never drop your arms
Heartstring guitars
Chasing dreams
And run away cars

Wow, this is probably my favorite thing I've seen written on this site so far. You have taken the "fork in the road" sort of theme, and made it sound original. I like the ironic heart/bomb simile. Also, it's great that you have unexpected rhyming couplets, because that's what you need for an interesting song.
Do you know how you want it to sound musically? -
Thanks you very much guys for the comments, i really appreciate it
I have melodies to all my songs, i just dont have any music to go with them for the exception of one song(im learning guitar and ive put music to one of my songs) but i was thinking this song will be kinda fast/ maybe poppy/ but the chorus would be pretty intense.
I was thinking of posting up the song i do have music to, I can make a simple recording.Last edited by Bryar Perry; 01-19-2010 at 10:20 AM.
