Back at last! This newest outing is actually the result of a dream I had a couple weeks ago. It was so vivid and wierd that I felt a strong compulsion to put it into song form. From the title, you can tell that there is actually a part 1. I won't be posting that one merely because it's too random and senseless. This one is much more structured and doesn't go from one point to somewhere else with no leway. If you'd like to know what the dream was, let me know. Until then, let me know what you think of the lyrics!

Taking my leave with
The one invoking fear,
He tells us “There is
No more evil here.”
The gleam in his eyes
Says he means otherwise
Making us despise
His words bringing tears.

Pre-Chorus:
How can I believe when
The promises say “No”?
What can I do?
Misery is all I’ve ever known.

Chorus:
Take this from me.
Show me that there’s
More to me than fault.
Stain me, wake me.
Show them that the
False is all but gone.

The training day begins
With a single piece of flesh
When my scared hands and
Gratitude both mesh.
Sunglasses go on
‘Til the break of dawn
When all is gone
In the lasting mess.

Finding my way,
I see the sign
And pray that sweet
Redemption is mine.

Pre-chorus

Chorus

Welcome to my nightmare.
