I would like some help with the translation/interpretation of this song:

Ο άνθρωπος μετράει

Όταν τελειώσαν τα λεφτά
τέλειωσε κι η αγάπη,
και στη δική μου την καρδιά
άφησες μόνο στάχτη.

Κουβέντα από το στόμα δεν θα βγάλω,
ο άνθρωπος μετράει, τίποτ' άλλο.

Τι να τα κάνω τα λεφτά
μπροστά σε όλα τ' άλλα;
Εγώ που έφτιαξα αυτά
εγώ θα φτιάξω κι άλλα.

Κουβέντα από το στόμα δεν θα βγάλω,
ο άνθρωπος μετράει, τίποτ' άλλο.


Or in general: τι να τα κάνω
it's an often used frase, but I can't find it in my dictionaries. I think it means something like: what am I supposed to do with/what shall I do with (the money) or something like that, what do you say? Thanks a lot!

...."There shall not be a conversation from my mouth" / More like: I will not speak (...help needed...)
