can you name the middle song from this snippet? (no lyrics)

I just found this forum today and I know that this particular section is for identifying songs based on lyrics, but I was hoping someone here could help me identify a song based on a short snippet of music.

Our local radio station has this thing called "Hit for Six" where you have to guess six songs based on really short snippets of each of them played back to back. There's one in particular that has me stumped. I went to the trouble of recording it off the radio and playing it back in Audacity repeatedly and I still can't put my finger on it.

Just wondering if any music afficianados here might be able to guess this since it has me completely stumped. The fact that it's less than a second long doesn't help much I cut the clip down to where you can hear three snippets back to back, and I uploaded it to web. The first one is the intro to 'No Rain" by Blind Melon and the last one is 'Radio Ga Ga' by Queen. It's the one in the middle that has me stumped.

This song would most likely be from the 80s (or possibly early 90s) since that's the format of this particular station. Apparently someone has already guessed it correctly but they couldn't guess the other 5 songs, whereas I've guessed all of them except this one. Aghhh!!

I recognize it. Definitely something from the 80s. I want to say The Cure or a band like that...

Hmm. Well, to put it into context the other songs in this group (in the full clip) are:

Relax - Frankie Goes to Hollywood
No Rain - Blind Melon (as heard in the clip)

(mystery song I can't name)

Queen - Radio Ga Ga - Queen (as heard in the clip)
We Built This City - Starship
Hip to Be Square - Huey Lewis & the News

I only list this to give you an idea of the format of the station, so I'm guessing it would have to be a pretty mainstream Top 40-ish song..which leaves out Iron Maiden (and most likely the Cure).

That's really short... but it sounds kinda like Led Zepplin's "Immigrant Song"
