Sixth Sense Humor – Heroes lyrics

Album: Sensing

The scary night was full of darkness
But through the trees I saw a light
So I walked down to the vilage
And I frowned at the sight
For all the people there were sleeping
With Christmas in their rooms
But as they dreamed of sugar plums
I crept quietly through
I took the stockings of the mantle
Didn't leave the turkey in the fridge
Little Sindey Loo-Hoo
Would have to eat porridge
No one woke from slumber
No one made a peep
I had finally done it
I had left them only grief

Cause I stole Christmas
I stole it well
And I stole Christmas
And all I left them was Hell!

With my dog pulling the sleigh
I left their roofs with joy
And up the slopy mountain
We climbed with Christmas toys
As we reached the top
The sun shone through the sky
And all the Hoos had gathered
And even some had cried
They were singing something lovely
It made my heart go weak
I thought that they were angels
They sounded aweful meek
I thought well why are they rejoicing
When I messed up all their plans
They should all be angry
I stole their Christmas hams

Cause I stole Christmas
I stole it well
And I stole Christmas
And all I left them was Hell!

I just don't understand
Why they didn't have a clue
That I took all their happiness
And left them all with glue
My heart grew a lot bigger
It grew ten sizes there
Where I saw all the Hoos
They didn't have a care
Now I know the reason
That they were all singing
Cause Christmas isn't about toys
It's about other things
I really thought I'd done it
Thought I'd taken all their cheer
I though I'd stolen Christmas
And left them with a beer

Cause I stole Christmas
I stole it well
And I stole Christmas
And all I left them was Hell!
