I'm having a lot of trouble understanding the difference between
using gustar to say I like something and cae bien to say I like
someone. I can use gustar to say I'm attracted to? The word placement
on these is very confusing. Can someone show how you would translate
these sentences to show liking something and liking someone as in
being attracted to someone.
Do you like me? (as a friend)
Do you like me?( attracted to)
She likes him.( as a friend)
She likes him. ( attracted to)
She likes him. ( as a friend)
She likes him. ( she attracted to him)
He likes her.( as a friend)
He likes her.( he is attracted to her)
Mary likes John.( as a friend)
Mary likes John. ( Mary is attracted to John)
I like John.( as a friend)
I like John. ( I'm attracted to John)
John likes me.( as a friend)
John likes me. ( John is attracted to me)
We like him. ( as a friend)
We like him. ( we find him attractive)
We don't like him. ( as a friend)
We don't like him. ( we don't find him attractive.)
They like us. ( as friends)
They like us. ( they find us attractive)
Do you (uds) like them? Do you ( plural) like them as friends)
Do you (uds) like them? ( Are you (plural) attracted to them)
She likes chocolate.
She dosen't like chocolate.
I like your mother. ( as a friend)
I like your mother.( I'm attracted to your mother)
Does your brother like me?( as a friend)
Does your brother like me? ( Is your brother attracted to me.)
Maybe if I see enough sentence examples using me, te le, nos , ellos etc.
I will finally get it.
I hope
Hugs Joyce
