Hi all,
I just want to say that I am still here reading your messages but, as there are so many requests already posted, I have no time to write them all down an study them. So Rock Star and others, even if people is not asking all the time for the arabic font of the lyrics, please post them together with the translations. There are some people like me, on the background, using them! :-))))

Yesterday I bought 3 more books about "teach yourself arabic". I need to extend my vocabulary beyond love matters ;-)

this is the translation i have, but its not rock star's work so it may be totally off hehe.... perhaps he can take a look at it and say lol .. i know awedouny does mean 'they made me' , but im not sure if this translation conveys the meaning as opposed to a mere word by word translation

excellent..seems the translation wasnt bad after all but rock star, my arab friends had told me 3awedouny is 'the made me' ... is the difference coming from the poetic sense thing or am i gonna have another donya situation here :S

It couldn't be, the "3ada" is "habit", so to "3awed" somebody means to make it a habit, hence to get him used to it
"made me" would be 'khallouny"

Here's my quastion: with what letter would you discribe some consonants like {p}, {ch} etc. For example word com{p}uter. Do change it to {b} combuter or something? 'Coa arabic alphabet doesn't have these letters

I still haven't heard it yet, but i will, I promise.

about the P's, we don't have them, mainly most people turn the P's into B's, some few people pronounce them as P's, the J in Egypt is pronounced as J, the Ch is mostly changed into Sh, but they are very rare
