the main verbs in arabic are usually in masculine form.. ;
unlike in English the verbs does not indicate the gender hence it is ambigious.
(even the pronouns is divided into masculine and feminine).

probably it is understandable that the main form of the verbs is commonly used thus it is masculine. although, i dont think it is for any religious purposes.

noooooo he's not homosexual, and its not for islamic reasons "not all arabs are muslims anyway"
i explained that above, but here i will make it more clear

its used for 2 reasons :

1- spoiling : when used in songs or when a guy is talking to a lil girl, his beloved ... etc so for sure it will be used a lot in love songs ... also girls can call guys with a "she" for spoiling but its not that common

2- comprehensiveness : in Qura'an, speaches and so on,
you may say why we don't use "she" instead of "he" for comprehensiviness also (which is allowed but not common)
and its because in arabic for example if we took the word "ja2">>"came"
so ja2 is the main verb and we use it for a male " ja2 >> he came"
if you wanna say "she came" it goes " ja2AT" so the main root is JA2 which is for a male so we usually use he. when you go deeper in arabic you will get this point better.

and main verbs are more used because its easier when we want to do the "e3rab" which is something that i will explane later because its very sophisticated, i don't want to make you confused, we went waaaaaaay off-topic :P

I always think it because the songs are for both gender (male dedicate to female / female dedicate to male).... so its not big matter to me...
