*By it we are talking about the soul, and by hell it signifies strength against its enemies. The Merciful goes without saying, is Allah
وشواظا من سعير يلفح الكفر فيهزم
And flames licking kufr (blasphemy), defeating it

لو رآه المجد فارسا شهما ملثم
If glory was to see it one day, it would as a veiled knight
لانبرى صهوة خيل وإلى الميدان أقدم
He would have ridden it horseback and come forth

كاسرا طوق الأعادي كقضى الموت المحتم
Breaking the necks of the enemies like certain death
لو تناساه الأعادي لسرى في الكأس علقم
If the enemies take no heed, like bile in a cup they will run

كم تمنته البرايا
How oft they wished for
فجر نصر يتبسم
A victorious smiling dawn

قد شدا بالعز شدوا
In glory they sang
وبذكراه ترنم
And in its memory hummed
ظامئ ليس بالماء ولا بالشهد يحلم
Not dreaming of water and (worldly) visions

بل إلى الموت إلى الحور إلى الحضن المنعم
But to death, to the 7oor (el3ayn) and to a blissful lap
*7or are the often mentioned 'virgins' of paradise

وإلى الرحمن مولا فهو حقا خير مغنم
And to the Lord they head, for indeed He is the best refuge
قد نوى بالحج لله فأوفى وهو محرم
They planned pilgrimage to their Lord, and they have fulfilled
*By defending your land and religion, you are actually fulfilling your Gods call (hence why its compared as hajj)

*meaning that he’s on his way off to war.. and its as if you can see him lighting up with rage and power like a bright burning hell
