Salam!
Could someone help with the phonetic translation of these lyrics? Thanks a lot!
I love Fayrouz!!! I have listened with great fascination this Magnificent Singer...

When you mean "phonetic translation" do you mean the Arabic lyrics written in English font?
-

Oops!!!
Exactly! Arabic into Latin characters! Learning Arabic is so exciting! But I still need some help to understand...
Alas! I always mix up the words... Transliteration vs. transcription... Ouch!
Thank you deeply! -

So beautiful and soulful... When I first saw this video, I fell in love with her voice, especially for this song.
The lyrics, the catchy tune... I was so touched...
She sings about returning to the life one desires... to the truly home, love, country... to the life.
May it be like coming home after a long exile?
Oh, the singers and dancers are a perfect addition! -
actually the song is part of the musical Lulu. She returns to her village after spending 15 years in prison. She was accused of killing a man but she was innocent. For More information about the musical check the link bellow :

Can someone possibly translate the Arabic lyrics please?

I´ve already seen Lulu! Clearly I understood close to nothing they were saying, ha ha ha... But, i really liked it.
It seem like she was on the top of her career in the 70's! This song has conquered my errant soul... Fayrouz's voice touched me in ways that I can't describe. She is retired now, doesn't she?
Thanks for sharing! -
What a pity, gbasfora! I would love having the english lyrics too...
I presume you're a big fan and a great translator...
I've found unfaithful translations... I think there are some loss in translating, to recreate the original language richness at all... In arabic, angels language, it must be triply laborious! Allah Allah!
