both of them right, you can say any of them.., but i want to say we don't used to say Tayeb.., so you can replace it with "mashy" ماشي or أوكي

    4. They talked about your problem all night long.
7aku 3ann mushkeltak kull el-layl. حكوا عن مشكلتك كل الليل
7aku 3ann mushkeltak toul el-layl.حكوا عن مشكلتك طول الليل

To don't make it difficult, they are both are right.., but it's much better to say the second one..., Toul el-layl!

    5. You are talking like a baby.
ta7ki metl tefl. تحكي متل طفل
ta7ki metl el-tefl. تحكي متل الطفل
ta7ki zay el-tefl. تحكي زي الطفل
    ta7ki zay tefl.تحكي زي طفل
all of them aren't right.., the right one is
    3am ta7ki metl el-tefl

    Present tense
    I talk - a7ki احكي / ba7ki بحكي
    You talk(m) - ta7ki تحكي / bti7ki بتحكي,
    You talk (f) - ta7ki تحكي/bti7ki بتحكي
    He talks - ya7ki يحكي / by7ki بيحكي
    She talks - ta7ki تحكي / bta7ki بتحكي
    We talk - na7ky نحكي / mni7ki منحكي
    You talk - ta7ku تحكوا / bti7ku بتحكوا
    They talk - ya7ku يحكوا / by7ku بيحكوا

ORIEEEE, that example hard for me to explain what's the difference between the examples (Bte7ky & ye7ky), so could you or anyone help her..

    Past tense
    I talked – 7akeet حكت
    You talked – 7akeet حكت
    You talked – 7akeeti حكتي
    He talked - 7aka حكى
    She talked - 7akat حكت
    We talked – 7akena حكنا
    You talked – 7aketu حكتوا
    They talked – 7aku حكوا

    THANKS
Look, the all past sentence words are right.. and the first sentences also was right.., but for the present words i don't know how to explain the difference between the examples because we really use them both

    for example :

إنت بتسافر لوحدك؟ do you travel alone??
إنت بتعرف تكتب do you know how to write?
أنا احكي معهم؟ i talk to them??
إنتوا بتحكو مع بعض you're talking together
إنتو إحكو وأنا رايح نام you talk and i'll go to sleep
هو بيحكي عن نفسه he talks about himself
هو يحكي وأنا أسمع he talks and i listen

as i mentioned.., i don't know how to explain why we use both of them.., sorry

Thanks a lot Orwa... You helped me a lot... I'm learning arabic by myself.... It's hard...

That is my problem. I don't know when I can use the present form without -b (e.g.: a7ki) and when I can use the present form with b+ (e.g.: ba7ki)..

Daydream, first, thanks, second.., check out these examples, i really would love to know why we use them both..!

For the ING we say 3am aktob or 3am e7ky.., but check these examples:

    إنت بتسافر لوحدك؟
    إنت بتعرف تكتب
    أنا احكي معهم؟
    إنتوا بتحكو مع بعض
    إنتو إحكو وأنا رايح نام
    هو بيحكي عن نفسه
    هو يحكي وأنا أسمع

Maybe you're right.., and maybe i am wrong..!!!

@Amira, the B is just accent, but in Fos7a they don't have such a thing.., it's always without B

In fus7a its quite different like in daydreams example
    I am talking to her - ana ba7ki ma3ha (3ameh)
I am talking to her -enany atakalm elayha ( fus7a)
so the "B" turns into another phrase that is similar but in fus7a

    @Louie
thank you, actually i've never thought that i'll ask a question here, but the stupid isn't who ask so much, the stupid is who doesn't try to know

I know we do not use b in Fus7a, my question was why we use it in 3amia??

to classify that we are going to do something or something is located in some place such as : الطاقية بل حمام (the hat is in the bathroom)
in this sentence (بل ) means IN
or lets say "I want to go to sleep " بدي انام
in this one (بدي) means in the near future
I hope that helps a little, like I've said earlier I'm not a teacher but I do my best.

    أطفىء النور
    أشعل النور

^ Maviii- Which one is exactly- turn off and turn on? I am guessing أطفىء النور is turn off.

and how do you say ' Look at me' and ' are you all (pl/ms) lebanese? in Fus7a- the two are two different statements.

    Thankyou-
