    يا نسيم الريح قولي للرشا
Oh, wind breeze tell the gazelle
    لم يزدني الورد إلا عطشا
The incoming didn’t give me more than thirst (it gave me only thirst)
    لي حبيب حبه وسط الحشا
I have a lover his love is in the middle of the heart
إن يشا يمشي على خدي مشى
If he (she) wants to walk over my cheek, he would

    روحه روحي وروحي روحه
His soul is mine and my soul is his
إن يشأ شئت وإن شئت يشاء
If he wants, then I want, and if I want he wants

Ofcourse, not to mention that in Arabic we use masculine to indicate male and female, so here he's singing for his girl lover

Do you read Arabic script or should I transliterate?

Great work dear Oriee , thank you ..
I always had a trouble in translating when the male singer uses masculine to talk about his girl lover , I immediately turn it to feminine .
So thanks alot , for clarifying ..

@ ELEEF: well in fact I really wish to put an visible announcement for everyone telling them this story, because I really feel sick from telling it every time I do translation, especially for the new members and people who are not familiar with Arabic. (otherwise there thoughts will go to wrong direction)

@G man: Yes it was full. I made you some space, now you can PM me

and you're sooo welcome any time

    Hi Oriee,

Still no space fo Pm's so here is my message :

    Hi Oriee,

I had translated the song too without knowledge you had already done it .
So I would like ,if possible, you take a look to my translation and explain
my mistakes mainly the two first verses. If you are too busy no problem at all.

    يا نسيم الريح قولي للرشة
Oh soft breeze tell to the drizzle
    لم يزدني الورد إلى عطشة
that the rose didn't bloom due to thirst
    لي حبيب حبه وسط الحشا
I have a beloved and his love is among my body organs
إن يشا يمشي على خدي مشى
If he wants to step on my face he could

    روحه روحي و روحي روحه
His soul is my soul and my soul is his soul
إن يشا شئت و إن شئت يشا
His desire is my desire and my desire is his desire

    Thank you and take care

Yes, it was filled again, sorry

الرشا: (which is رَشَاَ but we soften hamza into alef and pronounce it as rasha) means ابن الظبية : is the son or child of the female deer

الورد: comes from the verb وَرَدَ يَرِدُ means in Arabic حضر : to appear, or to visit
and it can hardly means "rose" or "flower", because there's nothing to show, or imply a rose, e.g. smell, scent, colour... etc.
وَرْدْ: is another name for lion (أسد), also قَسْـوَرَة means lion

so in the first line, he seems to call the breeze/ wind (using letter for callin ياء النداء)

and in the second line appears what he want the wind/ breeze to tell the deer's child.

for الحشا it really means body organs, but in poet, the old one, they used to use it as they say nowadays ساكن في or inside my heart.

and for رشا it's written with alif not ta2 marbota
and for عطشا it's originally عطشًا with tanween, but softened
and last one يشا it's يشاء not يشا , also hamza was softened in pronounciation and not in writing.

if you still have any other questions, please go ahead
