Zalem w ba7ebbou min rou7y 2asy w fi 7oubbou tal nou7y
She is unfair but I love her from the bottom of my soul...She is heartless and her love made longer my lament

Why so many fairness and hardness of heart ?

داريت الدمع والشكوى .... عن الدنيا اللي ما تسوى
Daret eddama3 w esh shakwa 3an eddounia elly ma teswa
I've felt the tears and complaints that there are no equals in this life

ومين قال الحياة حلوة .... وفيها الظلم والقسوة
W min 2al el7ayat helwa w fiha ezzoulm w el2aswa
And who has told that life is nice ? It is made of fairness and cruelty

لمين اشكي ويسمعني ... لمين ابكي ويرحمني
Limin 2ashky w isma3ny limin 2abky w ir7amny
Who will hear my laments and who will have mercy on my crying ?

العمر قضيته حزين مظلوم .... اخلص من هم ألاقي هموم
el3omr 2adetou 7azin mazloum 2akhlas min hamm el2ay houmoum
I've spent the life sad and unjustly treated.... When a worry comes to an end I find many others

على دمعي أنام على دمعي أقوم .... واقول ده نصيب وقدر مقسوم
3ala dama3y 2anam 2a2oum w 2a2oul da naseeb w 2adar ma2soum
I sleep and wake up in tears....and telling that's the way my fate and destiny are divided

يا رب إيه العمل دي حكمتك
Ya rabb eh el3amal di 7ikmitak
Oh God what is the way of your wisdom ?

يائس ومالي أمل غير رحمتك
Ba2is w maly amal gheyr ra7mitak
I give up and don't have hopes except your compassion

I thought that درى and دارى had almost the same meaning but whereas the first one means to know, to have knowledge , the second one means to hide . A double check in dictionaries is always a good idea (to me of course) LOL

I guess " it's made of unfairness and cruelty" is a very strong statement. Can I translate و as while ? So according your translation the beauty of life is determineded by the amount of unfairness and cruelty

يائس is the active participle of يئس ? And I dit'n know that meaning of desesperate. I've just found To renounce/to give up. EX : لقد يئستُ من الحياة / I've given up on life. لا تيئس من المحاولة Don't give up trying.
