Yes u can use another verb صلَّى=Salla=to pray

صليله=Sallelo=Pray for him

I prayed for him =انا دعيتله=da3ayetelo

actually da3ayetelo its a pass of the verb "salla" if i understand

Just a small comment da3aytelo = prayed for him, literally asked God. bs the other prayer, salah is the actual physical process of praying to God.

Also Czarek, when you want to say pray for him you say ed3eelo, not salilo

so I prayed for him (for a person who's died), can we say da3aytelo? or what?

and salilo its not a correct word?

Sallelo[the one you gave and I also gave it] is very correct in Syrian Dialect [so i guess Lebanese use it also]

My friend[orginally Syrian] used this one few times being with me

hehe yes lebanese use this word too "salilo" but its for a present and for a pass "salaytilo"? or maybe da3aytelo? but its not the same word that "salla" so i'm lost very sorry if i dont understand !!

Sallelo is as an order"Pray for him!!!!!"

3am beSalle[present form]=I am praying [now]

Sallaytelo\da3aytelo-both past form]=I prayed for [him]

Clear?

Verb صلى means to pray[in the meaning being in church,mosque,etc]
دعا= means also pray[for] rather for things or people]

Here is my idea:

ana ra7 [a]7oTT Sowaar 3ala facebook,bas/[laken] ma 3amalt hek men 2abl 3alashaan mezaaje ma kent mnee7[kwayyes].

I think you can also say ra7 nezel Sowar but it will mean
like "I will publish photos...."

yess exactly that's what i meant "7ott" for object I noticed that the Lebanese dont say " 7ott souwar " but "nazel souwar"

i don't know about Lebanese Arabic, but in Egyptian Arabic the verb 7ott can be used for both things that can be touched and those that can't be touched, the verb nazzel is the same, and in Egyptian Arabic u can say both a7ot sewar and anazel sewar, and there's a small difference in meaning between the two

if nada el 3omr (as u typed) this means the dew of life, ندى (nada) is dew, العمر (el 3omr) is life

if naada el 3omr this means life called or someone called life, نادى (naada) is called

if neda2 el 3omr this means the call of life, نداء (neda2) is call, it can somehow be understood as the voice of life too

really? did u mean the 1st one? i thought u'll say that u meant the 2nd or 3rd one, because nada el 3omr (ندى العمر) is very figurative, i mean how can life have dew? maybe it's a name of person or something, don't know

now let's see how to say it in Lebanese Arabic, well i don't know , but i think it's probably said nada el 3omor, i don't think nada is gonna change it'll be the same because it doesn't have much to change, el 3omor pronounce it with an additional quick O between the m and the r, in Egyptian Arabic it's pronounced el 3omr (no vowels between the m and the r) but in Lebanese Arabic i think it's el 3omor
