How about:
you departed to where/towards where the sun rushes to blur the houses???
3'adart na7wa/7aytho ta5roj ilshams li6amso 3al buyut?
Hi everyone! I have come across this proverb "Every day of your life is a page of your history", can someone please translate it with Arabic font. Also, does anyone know who said this proverb or its origin? Shukran :-)
Thats Oriee's fort to be honest, my i3rab is terrible
But I wrote it wrong, it should have been:
غادرت حيث تخرج الشمس لطمس المنازل
It doesnt..it lit means where, but isnt our direction here set using the sun?
hu?
maybe another example: he departet to [the place] where the children rush to steal strawberries from the farmers (...my fantasies are fantastic today)
I mean, there are two places: 1. place of departure and 2. destination (which is where the children rush to...) ... rush to does not indicate any direction, it is "rush to do something" like hurry to do something...like yubaadiru ila...
And between there is direction.
Like: I went to the post office. >>> Post office is the destination. And paraphrased: I went to [the place] where people hurry-scurry to get their letters sent
while the last part is a paraphase of post office.
where the sun makes haste to blur the houses at all is a paraphrase...
I don't know how to explain differently, it's, that in Spanish we have hacia donde, hacia indicates direction and donde place, so "to where", word-for-word-arabic would be propably ila 7aithu, which sounds clumsy...
EDIT: or maybe my thoughts are too twisted? That spanish author wrote hacia donde, and I want to translate it understandable...![]()
Oooooh you speak spanish? 3almini por favor?!!
I dont know, I think the 7aithu is sufficient for the destination + direction, look at when we put na7wa
إتجه نحو المكان الذي
We need to define na7wa what, but for 7ayth its
إتجه حيث يسرق الأطفال الفراولة من المزارعين
so maybe:
إتجه حيث تسارع الشمس لطمس المنازل
si querida?
ha, unfortunately only roughly carabean dialect
maybe I just have a distaste for 7aithu

si querida?... is there a synonym for 7aithu...I found out, that in my french-arabic dict. it says also for ňu (which can denote a direction) 7aithu...
You speak francais too? Ana bidi!! Erm whats wrong with the carabean accent? Ooooh where do you come from?
Haha yes you do seem to have a problem with 7aytho, while I like it
Hmm synonym? How about حيثما lol, or أينما
لا يَشْكُرُ الله مَنْ لا يَشْكُرُ النَّاس
The One Who Doesn't Thank Others, Doesn't Thank God
*sigh* I feel so unloved....can someone do mine now please?
Also Oriee, I think Jihan doesnt want to mention 'makan' place in the sentance![]()
